Plan Notes

02/17: Ordered seeds at Baker Creek. 02/22: seeds arrived. 03/13: rented sod cutter and took out 20 X 30' patch for vegetable garden. 03/16 had top soil and compost mix delivered. Enough for approximately 1/4 of the garden. 12" high. 04/05: 15 tons topsoil and compost delivered. Rented Bobcat to haul it to the garden. Heavy rains in mid April and low temperatures prevented planting until 04/22. Started a few seeds indoors - tomatoes seemed to take long to germinate. Had Sprinklerhead Zone 12 moved to garden and blind capped all others of Zone 12. 04/22: seeds in garden: sugar snap, telephone pea, kohlrabi, carrots, radishes. 04/28: Started all lettuce seeds indoors - used pellets. Most sprouted in 2-5 days. 05/01/: Started Tomato, Pepper and Cucumber indoors again 05/02: Garden still rather wet. Raining again until Saturday. Got 3 more stepping stones in the garden before the rain. 05/14 all stepping stones in. Trellis for peas installed. Cuke and bean support. Marigold around perimeter. 04/06 bought several tomato plants since the ones from seeds are rather small and planted right into garden. Tomato support installed and straw spread around.
